Norv Turner's Wikipedia Page

For those who can't read the small text on the photo:

Norval Eugene Turner[1] (born May 17, 1952) was the head coach for the National Football League's San Diego Chargers, but he was fired after figuring out how to somehow blow a 24 point lead to a quarterback with a bionic neck. He also has served as head coach of the Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders, and as offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and San Francisco 49ers.

The 2012 NFL All-Arrest Team (UPDATED: September 18)

Looks like the team is absolutely loaded (figuratively and literally with all the DUI's) at running back and wide receiver.  The team has a glaring weakness at quarterback and on the offensive line however.  Defensively, they have a stout pass rush but no one in the secondary.  All in all though, this team could probably hang with the bottom of the league for awhile.

ORLANDO (AP) – The Dwight Howard saga took another shocking turn on Tuesday, when a new blockbuster trade rumor surfaced, this time involving teams from three professional leagues and a member of the Jonas Brothers.

“This trade just keeps getting crazier and crazier,” Yahoo! Sports NBA columnist Adrian Wojnarowski said. “You're looking at a scenario in which Dwight Howard will go from the Orlando Magic to the Pittsburgh Pirates, or wait... was it from the Magic to the Cincinnati Bengals... ah hell.. Meet the man in sports with the worst name similarity in the business: Baltimore Ravens Gerry Sandusky

The furor over Jerry Sandusky has died down some now that the former Penn State football coach has been convicted of serial child sexual abuse. But for Gerry Sandusky, a sportscaster for the Baltimore Ravens, the backlash continues. Not that Gerry Sandusky has done anything wrong. His only offense is that he shares the same name with the man who preyed on young boys and who was convicted on 45 counts related to child sex abuse. Take a look at recent postings on Gerry Sandusky's twitter page. A woman named Jessica wrote "@GerrySandusky you're a disgusting vile human... read more

Former South Carolina/Now CFL QB Stephen Garcia suffers strangest injury ever

The process of ultimately finding Anthony Calvillo’s successor – whenever that day comes – continues for the Alouettes. On Wednesday, the team signed a fourth quarterback, Stephen Garcia, immediately placing him on the one-game injured list.

Garcia injured two fingers getting off the bus and flashing the peace sign, according to the organization.

The former University of South Carolina standout is with the Als for the third time now. He worked out for head coach Marc Trestman over the winter and then attended a free-agent tryout camp in Lachine just before the start of training camp... read more

FauxJohnMadden's 2012 Fantasy Football Rankings: Running Backs

FauxJohnMadden's 2012 Fantasy Football Rankings: Running Backs

The days of Fantasy Football with Priest Holmes, LaDainian Tomlinson and Shaun Alexander carrying you to a championship are long gone. Nowadays you're lucky to get a running back who will net 70 percent of the carries near the goal-line, much less one to rush for over 1500 yards and 15 touchdowns. That is why running back should be addressed with one of your first two picks in your Fantasy draft, unless you're in some super league with an ungodly amount of teams. (Or, of course, unless you're in a league that favors the quarterback)... read more

Wyche: Summer subplots We've reached the dog days of summer, but Steve Wyche has five tantalizing storylines to follow into training camp. More ...

"Hall of Fame player without a ring, because you've got to sacrifice so much individually just to be good," Tomlinson said via ProFootballTalk... read more

Report: Owens' Miami workout draws interest from several suitors.

Did today's workout set up something close for Owens to ink his first contract since the IFL Allen Wranglers unceremoniously cut ties with the 38-year old wide receiver? Ethan Albright’s letter to John Madden about being the lowest rated player in Madden Football

Hi, John, my name is Ethan Albright. I play line for the Washington Redskins. You probably already knew that, so I’ll continue. I am writing in regards to the overall player rating of 53 that I have received in Madden NFL Football 2007. I feel that this is fucking bullshit and you should kiss my mother-fucking ass. Ahmed Carroll was rated a 78 and the Packers just cut his ass on a Tuesday morning after his performance in a Monday night game. That is pretty terrible.
